Not sure how you can support the Black Lives Matter Movement? If you cannot actively and safely protest, you can donate here. If you cannot donate, you can speak. You can stand-up and not be silent. Share as much as you can and create awareness. Also, take the talk off of social media. It begins in your home, friendship circles and family conversations.
If you have any other funds or organisations that I should mention, contact me here.
The Minnesota Freedom Fund is a non-profit organisation that provides funds for protesters who have been arrested and need to pay bail in order to avoid being imprisoned.
The Bail Project also provides funds to pay bail “to prevent incarceration and combat racial economic disparities in the bail system”.
You can donate directly towards the Black Lives Matter movement, in order to support the organisation’s “ongoing fight to end state-sanctioned violence, liberate black people, and end white supremacy forever”.
The National Bail Out collective is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organisers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration. We are people who have been impacted by cages — either by being in them ourselves or witnessing our families and loved ones be encaged. We are queer, trans, young, elder, and immigrant.
